Who we are
Zhenya's Macarons is a home-kitchen bakery in Raleigh, North Carolina. Questions about this page, or about anything we hold about you, go to support@zhenyasmacarons.com.
When you order
Payment happens on Stripe’s secure checkout page. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us. Stripe passes us your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, delivery date and any order notes, and we use them to bake your order, deliver it and contact you about it. You receive an order confirmation by email and, after your delivery date, one follow-up email with a link to leave a review. Emails are sent through our email provider, Resend.
When you send a custom-order inquiry
The inquiry form sends your name, email address, phone number, event date, message and any boxes in your cart to Zhenya by email, so Zhenya can reply. A short-lived check protects the form from spam.
Site analytics
Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and which pages are visited, without cookies and without identifying you. Microsoft Clarity shows us how the site is used — clicks, scrolling, mouse movement and the pages viewed — as heatmaps and session recordings, so we can see what works and what gets in people’s way. Clarity uses cookies: its own, which connect the pages of one visit, and Microsoft cookies such as MUID, which Microsoft uses across its services, including for advertising. Form fields and the order confirmation are masked, so what you type is not recorded, and we never send Clarity your name, email address or phone number. The site also remembers in your browser, for 30 days, how you first arrived — for example from an Instagram link — so an order can be credited to the right channel. Clarity is provided by Microsoft, and how Microsoft handles that data is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Opting out of analytics
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Clarity is not loaded at all. You can also block cookies in your browser settings; the site works the same without them.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to run and protect the service.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your choices
Email support@zhenyasmacarons.com to ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. Payment and tax records are kept for as long as the law requires.
Changes
If this changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
