Showers and first birthdays

Delivering the day before
For a weekend party, a Friday delivery is often easier than a Saturday morning one. Sealed at room temperature, macarons are at their best for about three days, so nothing is lost by taking delivery early.
A first birthday table
Round up. Children eat more macarons than adults do, and a table left open for a whole party empties faster than one served at a single moment. A 36 covers about fifteen guests once there is other food; beyond that, add a second box in a second colour.
